Internships and projects
We offer topics for internship and other projects (Bachelor thesis, summer internships, …). Contact us if you are interesting in doing your next project with us in bionformatics. We will usually be able to meet with you and find individually interesting topics.
Typically, we have many project ideas related to (not restricted to)
- RNA bioinformatics, i.e. prediction, design, comparison, kinetics … of RNAs e.g. based on advanced combinatoric techniques to handle complex cases
- Structure modeling of (large) RNAs using experimental data (SHAPE, interaction profiles)
- optimization and sampling problems in bioinformatics
- ideas centered around our software systems VARNA, LocARNA, Infrared, …
- alignment and phylogeny
