Ever wonder what it's like to manage a global economy?

Amazon Coins is a virtual currency for the Appstore that is now launched in US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, and Australia. We've enabled customers to buy coins, spend coins, earn free coins, and give coins as gifts, and they've responded. Hundreds of millions of coins have been transacted to date. We have an economy to tune.

We're looking for a Research Scientist with a background in Economics to help us mine data to draw insights into the future of Amazon Coins and Amazon Appstore. We need someone with deep skills in statistical analysis and data mining, someone that can take a mountain of data, make sense of it, analyze it, model it, help make predictions, and drive the direction of a fast-moving product based on data science.
