AXA Global Direct is overseeing 8 P&C insurance direct branches across Europe and Asia. The digital insurance market is currently growing fast and our branches operate in highly competitive markets where aggregators play often a central role.

Our industry knows an incredible raise of heterogeneous data flows which require developing state-of-the-art methods for analyzing data and improving our pricing strategy.  Every time a price is delivered to a customer, there are hundreds of predictive models running. Extracting value from all these models into a rigorous framework is the main objective of price optimization.

The senior price optimization specialist will report to the Head of Price Optimization and Innovation team, and will be part of this challenging project supporting both the modeling efforts and the spreading of acquired knowledge. He/she will work in the global pricing department of about 25 international people (mathematicians, data scientists, statisticians, actuaries, engineers, PhDs) and will collaborate closely with lead specialists of our branches.

Job Summary / Essential Missions:


Global Pricing Functions:

·         Contribute to innovations in digital pricing. Collaborate with our entities and participate to the whole process of pricing innovation from prototyping to production.

·         Conduct projects to improve our data-driven pricing capabilities using revenue management techniques. This task requires to: explore the competitive dynamics, detect patterns in the vast amount of customer and market data, model customers behaviors (in particular in acquisition and contract renewal periods) and achieve best predictability

·         Involvement in of model validation and model monitoring in the most rigorous framework/

·         Effectively leverage analysis insights to shape AGD’s pricing strategy to optimize the profitability and support the identification of new products and initiatives

·         Work collaboratively with the International AGD pricing community to drive and deploy innovative approaches

·          

Price Optimization Functions:


·         Assist in the validation of market models, demand  and elasticity models are well designed and validated for price optimization purposes

·         Train and support pricing teams across AGD in setting-up and maintaining their price optimization projects

·         Provide ideas and solutions to tackle the Price Optimization problematic with varying data, market and regulatory conditions.

·         Assist entities to ensure that proper monitoring of price optimization is in place across AGD

·         Contribute to innovative advancement of the price optimization process in order that the highest level of efficiency and sophistication is maintained.

·         Coordinate and lead regular Price Optimization workshops, involving AGD optimization specialist, where teams share their progress and achievements on operational projects

·         Contribute to drive of overall optimization projects to support our entities in making the best decisions

Education/ Profile:

 

·         Graduated from leading universities in the field of applied   mathematics, actuarial, statistics and data science, or any related fields.

·         2+ years of experience in insurance or quantitative pricing

·         Strong mathematical and analytical skills

·         Awareness or previous experience working with Earnix or Radar Price Optimizer software,

·         Basic knowledge of SQL/SAS or knowledge of Python, R a plus.

·         Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory
