DISCRETE APPLIED MATHEMATICS Special issue on "Graphs and Combinatorial Optimization" following CTW 2009 Call for papers The Cologne-Twente Workshops on Graphs and Combinatorial Optimization have a long tradition of by now annual events that are organized alternatingly by several academic research groups at European universities. The 2009 edition of the CTW, organized by Ecole Polytechnique and Conservatoire National d'Arts et Metiers, took place in Paris on June 2-4. CTW workshops usually publish a selection of fully refereed papers in a special issue of the prestigious journal Discrete Applied Mathematics (DAM), on topics that either have been presented at the conference or are otherwise close to the workshop themes. Submissions of contributions are welcome also from researchers who have not personally attended the workshop. The guest co-editors for the CTW 2009 issue are: Sonia Cafieri (LIX, Ecole Polytechnique) cafieri at lix.polytechnique.fr Ulrich Faigle (Math. Institut/ZAIK, Universität zu Köln) faigle at zpr.uni-koeln.de Leo Liberti (LIX, Ecole Polytechnique) leoliberti at gmail.com The deadline for submission to this issue is set to 30th September, 2009, in order to publish the articles as quickly as possible. If needed, however, extensions of the deadline may be obtained upon request. The procedure for submission is as follows: 1. Go to http://ees.elsevier.com/dam 2. Create an account (or log in as an author if you already have one) 3. Log in 4. Click on "submit new manuscript" 5. On the "choose article type" menu, select "special issue: Graphs & Combi Opt". WARNING: do NOT choose "special issue: CTW 2007", which refers to a past CTW edition. 6. Follow the on-screen procedure. Be sure to finalize the submission. The managing editor is Leo Liberti. We will personally acknowledge receipt of each submitted paper to the corresponding author. If you don't hear from us within a reasonable delay after submission, contact Leo Liberti at leoliberti@gmail.com and ask him personally whether the manuscript was received.
