Coming to LIX

Information on how to acces the campus of the École polytechnique is available on the maps and directions page of its web-site.

Arriving by public transport

From Paris, go to the Massy-Palaiseau station, either on RER-B in the direction of Saint Rémy-lès-Chevreuses or on the RER-C regional rail lines.

From Massy-Palaiseau, take a bus on the 91.06 (B or C) or the 91.10 lines and alight at the stop Polytechnique - Laboratoires.

From the RER-B line, it is also possible to alight at the station Lozère and access the campus by a pedestrian path.

By car

From the Porte d’Orléans or the Porte d’Italie, take autoroute A6B, then autoroute A10, and finaly the exit Campus scientifique. Continue straight to merge into route D36 and turn right at the roundabout in the direction of the École polytechnique.

From the Porte de Saint-Cloud, go to Pont de Sèvres and take N118. Then, take exit number 9 (Centre Universitaire - Grandes Écoles/Orsay Guichet). At the roundabout, take the last exit in the direction of Palaiseau, cross the bridge, and then take the second exit towards Palaiseau. After about 2km, take the second exit of the roundabout and the first exit of the immediately following roundabout.

Accessing the buildings

Alan Turing Building

The Alan Turing Building is open to visitors from 08:00 to 20:00 Monday-Friday. Due to the heightened security measures (plan vigipirate), visitors are required to submit identification at the reception and must accompany a member of LIX.

Wing 0 (Aile 0)

The research buildings are only accessible by badged personnel and do not have manned reception desks. There are telephones at the exits to the building that may be used to reach persons in the buildings. If you need to visit someone in the Wing 0, find out their office phone number and use the last four digits on these phones to contact them.
