This page lists information relative to my thesis defense.

The defense will take place on Thursday, October 15th, 2009 at 4:15pm in amphi (lecture room) Pierre Curie, at the École Polytechnique.

Information on how to reach the campus is available on a webpage of the École's website (in French, although instructions in English are linked to). Beware, information about bus 91.06 is not up-to-date.

If you arrive by RER B, you may choose to alight at Lozère then go uphill on a footpath with about 300 steps to reach the campus, or to alight at Massy-Palaiseau then take the bus 91.06 up to the Polytechnique Lozère stop. In both cases, you will get to the location marked with a blue box on the map below. You can download the current bus timetable. Taking the bus spares you a tiring walk but the timetable is not that reliable. The bus stop at Massy-Palaiseau was temporarily relocated and is not easy to find. This satellite picture will help you, but you might want to ask your way around.

The Pierre Curie amphi is located in the hallway marked with a red box on the map below. If in doubt, ask for the hallway with the new amphis. The most direct route goes between the student dormitories using a road and paths not indicated on the map. Once you are in the hallway, climb up the stairs to reach the upper level, where you will find the amphi.
