Recruitment Polytechnique 2008 (6 teachers). Gilles Schaeffer has received the European Prize awarded in combinatorial Real Alcazar in Seville at the end of September 2007. Michel Fliess has just been awarded the Grand Prix Jacques-Louis Lions at the Academy of Sciences. 15 juin 2007 : Gilles Dowek has just been awarded the grand prize in philosophy of the French Academy for his book"Metamorphosis numeracy". Gilles Dowek is a professor at the Ecole Polytechnique, a member of LIX and the former head of the former INRIA LogiCal which, as its name suggests, focuses on the interactions of logic and arithmetic, a theme that is at the heart of this book exciting reading which is even more now than before, a "must".
