Artificial Intelligence
The
Computer Science department of Ecole
Polytechnique considers hiring a full-time Assistant Professor
in Artificial Intelligence in a broad sense. Teaching will take
place in the Bachelor program, in the Ingénieur Polytechnicien Program or in the new Artificial Intelligence and Advanced
Visual Computing
Master program proposed by Ecole Polytechnique.
Candidates are expected to outline their teaching experience in connection with
the courses offered by the Computer Science department.
The
research activity will be carried out at one of the research groups of LIX, the
Computer Science Laboratory of Ecole Polytechnique. Candidates are expected to show how their
research could be integrated in one of our existing research teams of the LIX (e.g.
computer graphics and vision, data science, verification and robotics, and
algorithms, etc). The applicants are
expected to have international scientific recognition, and demonstrate
excellent teaching skills. Mastery of the French language is a plus, but is not
essential.

Monge Assistant Professor (one position, full-time,
tenure-track, at the French Maître de Conférences level) Profile:
Cyber-physical systems The Computer
Science department at Ecole Polytechnique
considers hiring a full-time Assistant Professor in the framework of the Gaspard
Monge program (that is, a tenure-track position
of two consecutive three-year contracts). Applicants are junior researchers
working in Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) - distributed control systems, with
applications to drones in particular - with a very high potential. She or he
should be prepared to get involved in long-term educational and mentoring
projects at Ecole polytechnique
at any teaching level; and is expected to become co-director of the COMASIC
Master program on CPS at Ecole polytechnique.
Courses are expected to be given in English for some
part of the teaching load. The
candidate must demonstrate their high scientific level, and their willingness
to integrate their research within one of the research groups of the Computer
Science laboratory (LIX) in a theme linked with CPS, such as the Cosynus team in particular, but also teams such as Epizeuxis (Networks), Alco (Algorithms), or Comète (Distributed Systems). Applicants
will be junior researchers having
international recognition in their field and
demonstrate excellent teaching skills. If not already
obtained, it is expected that
the applicant will defend his/her
habilitation thesis within
a couple of years after his/her hiring.
