C4: Computations on Curves for Crypto and Coding

Participation is free of charge, but please drop a line to
evelyne_AT_lix.polytechnique.fr if you intend to participate so that we
can prepare croissants for the coffee break.
Scope
The workshop will consist of three invited talks, contributed talks,
and informal discussions. Any contribution on the subject of
computations with curves and related objects, with or without
applications to coding theory and cryptography, is welcome.

Getting to the workshop
C4 will be held in Amphitheatre Becquerel,
in the main building of the École polytechnique.
There are two ways of reaching École polytechnique
by public transport: RER B (train) to Lozère and then
15 minutes walk, or RER B/C to Massy-Palaiseau and then a 10 minute bus trip.
- On foot from Lozère:
Take RER B to Lozère.
Cross underneath the railway using the pedestrian underpass,
and cross over the road in front of you.
Walk about 20 metres up Rue Charles Gounod,
on the left of the café de la gare;
you will see a wide concrete path on your right.
Walk up this path;
it is quite steep, and becomes a long staircase.
Keep going until you reach a fork, then take the stairs on the left.
When you finally reach the top, you
will find the entrance to the École polytechnique
ahead of you.
Follow the path; there will be a big security gate,
but you don't need a pass to get through it.
Eventually, you will come to a road,
with bus stops to your right and left.
By now you should have seen some arrows
directing you towards C4: follow them.

Via bus from Massy-Palaiseau:
Take RER B to Massy Palaiseau, exit on the east (left of the line
when heading south), look for the bus TransEssonne/Albatrans 91/06
(walk on the right after exiting the station,
see map),
exit at the second stop
("Chemin de Lozère", helpfully listed as stop 3 on the map)
in École polytechnique
and look for the arrows for the workshop. Before 9am,
there are plenty of buses; the buses are much less frequent during the daytime.
It takes 10 min to reach EP, an ordinary Paris RATP ticket is needed.

Lunch
No lunch is provided, but it is possible to go to the Ecole restaurant,
and there is a cafeteria close to the amphitheatre.
