The association Computability in Europe has been founded at the CiE 2008 General Meeting. The object of the Association is to promote the development, particularly in Europe, of computability-related science, ranging over mathematics, computer science, and applications in various natural and engineering sciences such as physics and biology. This also includes the promotion of the study of philosophy and history of computing as it relates to questions of computability. A draft constitution of the Association can be found here.
We invite every researcher interested in the object of the Association to become a member. Currently, membership fee is set at zero, which maybe subject to revision in the future. To apply for membership of the Association please complete and submit the following form. After you have pressed the submit button, an email will be send to the email address provided. The email will ask you to confirm your application.
When your application has been successfully confirmed, the CiE Membership Secretary, Olivier Bournez, will decide about your application, if necessary with consultation of the board of the association. You will receive by email the result of this decision - this will usually take only a few days.
In case of technical problems with the application process please contact the maintainer of this site, Olivier Bournez.
